The City of Kearney Park and Recreation Department offers a diverse selection of cultural and recreational opportunities to entice visitors and resident alike. We have 14 parks in Kearney, 2 public swimming pools, 17 miles of hike and bike trails, a recreation center, softball and baseball diamonds, tennis, handball, multipurpose and basketball courts and so much more.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney Foster Football Field is home to the Loper football events. Nearing its 100th year anniversary, the Loper football program is among the highest winning in all of NCAA Division II.
The University of Nebraska at Kearney Health and Sports Center has been the home of Loper basketball, volleyball and wrestling events since August of 1990. The 6,000-seat arena hosts NCAA Division II events in volleyball, basketball, and wrestling.
Tri-City Storm USHL hockey plays a six-month schedule of games played in the FirsTier Event Center, a 5,000-seat venue.
